The
Local Government Training Institute
(LGTI) is a Registered
Training Organisation located in Thornton,
just out side of Newcastle, in the Hunter Valley.
But, training can be delivered anywhere in
NSW - just ask us.
LGTI offers
specialised training services to Local Government,
industry and the general public.
Courses run by LGTI include:
 Local Government
qualifications (planning, operational works,
ratings, regulatory services etc)
RTA Traffic Control
Training
Workcover accredited
plant training and assessment, such as elevated
work platform (EWP), dogging, forklift
OHS training, like
confined spaces, safe work near lines, ChemUse
(spraying pesticides), workplace
investigations

A new training centre
is being built in Thorton, so LGTI can deliver
more courses to councils, industry and the general
public.
There will be three classrooms,
delivering training such as traffic control, EWP
and Local Government qualifications. Building
should be complete at the end of July
2008.
